PMI in association with Corporate Planning conducted a specialized training programme titled, Certification Programme for Future Ready Power Managers from 29th-31st January in collaboration with IRADe. The program was attended by nearly 50 participants from various NTPC stations and offices.

Addressing the inaugural session, Director (HR) Mr Anil Kumar Jadli reiterated the critical role of learning and capability development in NTPCs growth journey and urged the participants to become future ready for the sectoral challenges ahead.

The inaugural session was also attended by Dr Kirit Parikh, Chairman (IRADe) & Former Member (Planning Commission), Ms Sangeeta Kaushik, ED(Corporate Planning), NTPC, Ms Rachana Singh Bhal, CGM (Strategic HR & Talent Management), Mr Pankaj Batra, Former Chairperson (CEA) and other officials from IRADe.

The programme included 15 sessions covering various aspects such as resource adequacy, power generation resource planning (fuel mix), demand forecasting, new tariff regulations and deviation settlement mechanism (DSM), policy and regulatory framework for renewable energy development, covering Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO), Feed-in Tariff (FiT) and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).

The program featured expert speakers from IRADe, Ministry of Power, CEA and CERC including Mr Pankaj Batra, Dr Probal Ghosh, Ms Ammi Topo, Dr Sudipa Majumdar, Mr Narender Singh, Mr Vijay Menghani, and Mr Shravan Kumar.


The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants after a rigorous assessment.
